Any common image format โ processed entirely in your browserWhy convert to JPG?
JPG (or JPEG) is the most universally supported photo format — every browser, phone, printer and form uploader accepts it. PNG is better suited to graphics with sharp edges or transparency, and HEIC (the default on newer iPhones) is not recognised by many older Windows programs or upload portals at all, which is usually why people end up needing this converter.
โ Frequently asked questions
Will converting to JPG reduce my image quality?
There is a small, generally unnoticeable quality trade-off since JPG uses lossy compression, but at the quality level this tool uses it's rarely visible.
Does this remove transparency from PNG images?
Yes โ JPG doesn't support transparency, so any transparent areas in a PNG will be filled with white in the converted file.
Can I convert HEIC photos from my iPhone?
Most current browsers can open HEIC files directly for conversion; if yours can't, our dedicated HEIC to JPG tool covers that format specifically.
