What happens to the photo you upload
Every compressor, resizer and converter on this site runs on the HTML canvas element โ a browser feature that edits images locally, on your own device.
Processed on your device
When you drop a photo into a tool, it's read and transformed entirely inside your browser tab. It is not sent to any server as part of that process.
Never stored
Because the file never reaches our servers, we have nothing to store, back up, or accidentally leak. Close the tab and the photo is gone from memory.
No account required
There's no sign-up, login, or profile anywhere on this site, so there's no personal account data tied to your usage either.
Not directed at children
TagOnline is a general-audience utility site and isn't designed for, or knowingly targeted at, children under 13.
The one place cookies come from
The site itself doesn't set tracking cookies. The only cookies involved come from the advertising that keeps the tools free.
Does TagOnline use Google AdSense?
Yes. This site shows ads through Google AdSense to stay free to use. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits here and to other sites across the web.
Can I control what ad data Google collects?
Yes โ you can review and adjust your ad personalisation settings directly on Google's own Ads Settings page, independently of this site.
Do you use analytics?
We may use standard, aggregated analytics to see which tools get used most, so we know what to build next. This is never tied back to a specific photo or file you processed.
Do you sell or share my data with anyone?
We don't collect files to sell in the first place. Beyond the standard AdSense and analytics behaviour described above, nothing about your visit is shared with third parties.
Run by Sahil Kumar, not a data company
TagOnline is built and maintained by Sahil Kumar. There's no data-collection business model behind it โ the site earns through ads, not through your files or personal information, and it was built specifically so photo tools didn't need to ask for either.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the site grows or as tools change. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy โ the "last updated" date at the top always reflects the latest version.
